Nature’s Sunshine MLM Jobs Review

Nature’s Sunshine is into production and sales of dietary supplements such as Vitamins, Herbs, Minerals, and personal care products. 

The main question is this, can you make money with Nature’s Sunshine MLM Jobs?

The problem is this, Nature’s Sunshine employs Multi-Level Marketing business models in the distribution and sales through the company distributors.

Though there is a claim of changes in Nature’s Sunshine business model, I don’t know how that goes. 

Why is that a problem?

Mr. Jon M Taylor did 20 years of research on 600 MLM companies and discovered that 99.7% of any MLM company’s distributors would lose their money. 

What does that imply? 

It means that only 0.3% of distributors are making money with any MLM company.

Are Nature’s Sunshine Distributors Making Money? 

You should find out if the current Nature’s Sunshine distributors are making money or not. 

How do you know?

One right way to detect this is to ask for Nature’s Sunshine income Disclosure Statement. 

The latest income disclosure statement available at the time of this Nature’s Sunshine review is that 2018.

Most MLM companies will never allow their income disclosure statement in the public domain, and if they do, they usually manipulate this document.

The first thing I noticed on the above income disclosure statement is that the company excluded the percentage of each distributor’s rank that made up the compensation plan.

Therefore, you can not know the exact number of Nature’s Sunshine distributors in each rank.

This is a plot for you do not know the exact number of people that are making money.

You can see that the lowest rank is the Non-Manager ranks, each of the distributors on this rank made average earnings of $12.61 monthly (or $151.29 in a year).

If you deduct the annual subscription fees of $40 and the starter pack’s cost, the distributors in this rank made a loss in 2018. 

 The number of distributors at a lower level is usually the highest. Usually, over 99.7% of MLM members will make no money, according to Mr. Jon M Taylor’s findings.

I am considering the top ranks of Nature’s Sunshine compensation plan.

The topmost rank is the Sr National. Each member in that ranks made average of $18,357.29 Monthly (i.e. $220,287.43 in 2018).

Nature’s Sunshine income disclosure statement shows that only a few distributors at the top of the compensation plan make money.

If you are just joining now, you will only be working for them, and you are sure to lose your money or made pennies.

Nature’s Sunshine started in the Hughes family kitchen way back in 1972. 

Gene Hughes started encapsulating cayenne, capsicum, and other herbs and selling them as supplements to health food stores. 

However, the family decided to expand the business and moved into the direct selling model. 

This Nature’s Sunshine review gives details into the business model and how to make money with Nature’s Sunshine. 

The company is also known as NSP and is incorporated in Lehi, Utah, USA. They also own a manufacturing facility in Spanish Fork, Utah.

The company runs a Multi-Level marketing business model and deals with the manufacturing and sale of dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, and personal care products. 

Nature’s Sunshine Jobs and Products can be found in 30 countries, including South America, North America, Pacific, Caribbean, and Europe, with almost 600,000 distributors. 

The company’s current CEO, Gregory L. Probert, had served as a consultant working on Nature’s Sunshine Jobs and having experience from top companies such as Walt Disney, DMX Music, Penta Water Company, and so on. 

Since it runs an MLM model, you will need a Nature’s Sunshine membership to get in.

 However, the company has grown since it started on a kitchen counter to hold ownership rights to Synergy Worldwide, a supplement company.

Nature’s Sunshine Product Line

Through this Nature’s Sunshine review, we can get a glimpse into the kinds of products the company produces. 

The company manufactures products that range from energy to heart health, detox, and cleansing to fitness and weight management, women’s/men’s health to prenatal and children’s health. 

There is a product for everyone in the family. 

There are about 22 product categories with over 700 products and herbal supplements available in liquid, tablet, chewable, capsule, or lotion.

Nature’s Sunshine Compensation Plan

Understanding the compensation plan is one of your first steps in making money with Nature’s Sunshine Jobs. 

You can also identify if Nature’s Sunshine is Legit or a scam pyramid scheme through the compensation plan. 

The MLM business opportunity is divided into Legacy and Classic. “Legacy” is reserved for “customers and networks,” while “Classic” caters to “health consultants and retailers.” 

The legacy plan covers those who want to become a customer with NSP, sponsor other members, or create a business network. 

Commissions, ranks, and bonuses are not the same comparing the two plans.

One of Nature’s Sunshine job perks is that you are offered a rebate on an affiliate’s orders. 

Your rebate depends on the number of products your affiliate orders.

Classic Plan

• 0-99 Qualifying Volume (QV) order= Zero rebates
• 100-299 QV order = 10% rebates
• 300-599 QV order = 12% rebates
• 600-999 QV order = 18% rebates
• 1000-2999 QV order = 27% rebates
• 3000+ QV order = 30% rebates

Legacy

• 0-99 QV = Zero rebates
• 100-499 QV = 10% rebates
• 500-999 QV = 15% rebates
• 1000+ QV – 20% rebates

Smart Start Bonus

When you join Nature’s Sunshine membership as a newly recruited affiliate, you get the Smart Start Bonus for orders that generate at least 100 QV. 

If you are under Nature’s Sunshine membership as a Classic Affiliate, you can earn “up to 30%” on these first orders; your direct Manager or higher ranked upline will earn a 10% commission. 

On the other hand, if you are under Nature’s Sunshine membership as a Legacy Affiliate, you can earn “up to 40%”. However, Smart Start Bonus is only available to US affiliates.

 Also, Residual commissions in Nature’s Sunshine membership are paid via a unilevel compensation structure. 

If you join Nature’s Sunshine membership as a Classic affiliate, you have a unilevel structure of 8 ranks.

However, if you joined as a Legacy affiliate, you have a unilevel structure of 9 ranks. 

Commissions on Nature’s Sunshine job are paid based on the sale volume of your unilevel team. 

The growth of an affiliate unilevel team is also based on the sale volume generated.

How to Join Nature’s Sunshine?

Joining Nature’s Sunshine Membership is easy. 

You will pay the annual subscription fees of $40 and buy Nature’s Sunshine Membership starter packs of any of your chosen products.  

It will qualify you for the FREE membership. 

However, you will have to request the free membership either through a call or on check out.   

How Much does it Cost to Join Nature’s Sunshine?

You can join Nature’s Sunshine Membership with a $40 membership fee or product purchase worth a similar amount. 

There are also optional products such as IN.FORM Coach Certificate, which costs $549 for both the training and certificate. 

There is also a similar certification program online, which goes for $399. You also have to buy products which range from $20 to $100.  

Who Is Nature’s Sunshine For?

Anyone can join Nature’s Sunshine membership. However, you have to be willing to sell the products, or t least buy directly from the company for use. 

Since it’s an MLM product, you should know how to make money with Nature’s Sunshine relies on recruiting and selling products. 

If you are not a good salesperson, whether physically or online, then NSP is not for you.

How to Make Money with Nature’s Sunshine

You can make money with Nature’s Sunshine in two ways.

Retailing.

You can make money with Nature’s Sunshine by selling products to customers. 

You make money by buying the product at the company price and selling it at a retail price.  

Building a Team of Affiliates

You can make money with Nature’s Sunshine by building a team of active distributors under you. 

Also, you get to earn rebates from their sales. 

You also earn commissions from every sale of your Nature’s Sunshine membership team. 

However, you need to be skilled at recruiting, prospecting, training, and motivating your team if you want to use this method to make money with Nature’s Sunshine.

How Much Can You Make with Nature’s Sunshine?

 One of the first things to do before you get a Nature’s Sunshine job or membership is to find out how to make money. 

You also need to know how much money the current distributors have made or are making. 

The company has a total of 527,900 Managers, Distributors, .and Customers as of June 30, 2020. 

However, active distributors are not yet managers earning an average of $12.61 monthly and $151.29 annually. 

On the other hand, Star National Directors earn an average of $18357.29 monthly and $222,287.43 annually.

Taken a look at Nature’s Sunshine income Disclosure statement for 2018, the company remove the percentage of each rank that earns a certain amount. In my opinion, that is a scam, and it is intentional.

By the time you know the real number of Nature’s Sunshine distributors that earn $12.61 monthly, you will be sorry for yourself. 

Can you imagine making $12 a month or $151.29 in a whole year? 

It has been investigated and discovered that it would be difficult for you to make money with any MLM company, including Nature’s Sunshine MLM jobs. 

Mr. Jon M Taylor did 20 years of investigation of over 600 MLM companies, and he publishes his finding in his book titled ” Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked.”

His finding was that 99.7% of any MLM members would lose their money, i.e., only 0.3% of the member of any MLM company that will make money.

The 0.3% includes the company owners, the special investors, and the compensation plan’s high-rank members. 

Therefore, from reviews of hundreds of MLM companies, I have discovered that the above findings are real and true for all MLM, and it also applies to Nature’s Sunshine distributors.

So, how much money can you possibly make with Nature’s Sunshine as a distributor?

You will not make money with Nature’s Sunshine MLM jobs, especially if you are new to this MLM company.

The company operates on an automatic shipping program; this means your customers can get products without you having to hold the products physically.

Wide Product Range

It is simple to learn how to make money with Nature’s Sunshine MLM products as they have a wide range of products, making it easy for you to sell.

Quality Control 

Nature’s Sunshine review has shown that the company is a member of a lot of health organizations. 

The products have to go through rigorous quality control testing.

Issues With Nature’s Sunshine

It is not so surprising to know that a company that has existed for over 30 years will have legal battles. 

When we look at Nature’s Sunshine review of legal issues, we see that the company had a problem in 2009 in Brazil. 

The SEC charged the company with bribing officials in Brazil with over a million dollars. 

The company had tried to import unregistered nutritional products into the country in 2000-2001.

Complicated Compensation Plan

Once on Nature’s Sunshine membership, you have to be a Classic or Legacy and go through a complicated compensation and unilevel plan. 

In the end, it is difficult to know how to make money with Nature’s Sunshine when you cannot even understand the compensation plan.

Online/Offline Complaints About Nature’s Sunshine

Most complaints revolve around shipping. Some users claim it’s easier getting the products off Amazon. 

Also, some customers complain of some of the pills being challenging to swallow. 

There are also some complaints from previous employees with the company claiming that the company reduced staff benefits.

Do you want to make money with Nature’s Sunshine MLM jobs? Then you must consider and think twice before you sign up. 

There are some Nature’s Sunshine Scandal and Lawsuit that you need to know about. However, they have settled some while some are still in court. 

Why is it important to look out for such Nature’s Sunshine Scandal and Lawsuit? Because when there are any claims and settlements, it will affect how much you earn as a distributor.

The prominent Nature’s Sunshine Scandal and Lawsuit are SEC bribery lawsuit of July 31, 2009.

SEC charged the company for bribing a Brazilian official with over $1m in 2000 and 2001. 

The bribe was done so that they could import products into the USA. The problem was that the company falsified its record to hide the payment. 

They settle by paying $600,000 in fines. 

Another well knows Nature’s Sunshine Scandal and Lawsuit is the class-action lawsuit that alleges insider trading and securities manipulations and fraud by the top executives of Nature’s Sunshine.

The maker of nutritional supplements “ Provo” was accused of violating FEC laws by falsifying financial records to the federal regulators and auditors. 

This Nature’s Sunshine Scandal helped the company inflated its stock price in millions of dollars between April 2002 and April 2006. 

In this Nature’s Sunshine Scandal and Lawsuit, the company was made to settle by making their insurer pay $6m plus interest to all the shareholders affected.

If they did that, then can they do it again? 

Can you make money with Nature’s Sunshine MLM jobs? It is your call to make. 

Nature’s Sunshine Legit or Scam?

Technically, Nature’s Sunshine is legit and not a scam pyramid scheme. 

The company has been in existence for three decades.

So, is Nature’s Sunshine legit? Yes, it is a legitimately registered company. 

The problem with Nature’s Sunshine MLM company is that people always mistake MLM companies to be a scam.
